Awakening explores the darker side of finding yourself. The songs presented here represent Croat's experiences with depression, gender dysphoria, restlessness, and loneliness.

With dark, heavy guitar and bass riffs mixed with traditional Croat Sounds, Awakening has become the hardest hitting album Croat to date.

The album opens up on a more Trance note with "And?", and wrapping up on a heavy Electrohouse anthem in "The Last to Sleep." The album also features a remix of the most popular Croat Song, Dinoboss Extreme.
